VAR-DEV? What's that? VAR is an abbreviation for variant. I am a creative individual, and as such, am working on way too many projects at once. VAR is also the name of a Pen&Paper RPG that I'm working on.
This site is under construction as I experiment with things. Sorry about that. If you are morbidly curious, this server is running one a 450Mhz K6-III with 384 MB of memory, and a 36GB HDD. Yeah, it's not powerful, but given what this server will host... It won't exactly be stressed.

NOTICE: All downloads on this site will be in tar.bz2 (bzip2) format. This is one of the best compressions formats I've found for text. If you are running *BSD or Linux, you can extract them using tar with the '-j' flag (instead of the '-z' you would use for a .tar.gz). In MacOS X you should be able to use tar as well (command line), outside of that, the default archiver program should probably handle this format as MacOS X is based on BSD, and bzip2 is a very BSD format. Neither Windows' own archival application, nor Winzip handle bzip2. For Windows, I would strongly recommend 7zip, which works quite well on many formats.
NOTICE: All text documents will be in MS Word (.doc) or Rich Text (.rtf) format. These are very widly supported formats that are (a) trivial to make and edit and (b) can hold a lot of formatting. MS Word tends to be able to hold more formatting information than RTF in my documents, but RTF is readable by a few more applications.
